You’re known for being a homebody, Taurus, but when you get mad you stay mad. And then you get even. And that’s just like Emelia. Laini Taylor is known for her poetic words – I mean, writer is not descriptive enough for what she does. She is a wordsmith, and the Strange the Dreamer duology is, I think, her most romantic work yet. I won’t say more than that, because half the fun of these books is learning the mystery for yourself, but be prepared for this book to emotionally crush you and love every second of it!

My fellow leos – glorious, glorious lions you! If you don’t relate to Evie O’Neil, I’m sorry, but I am revoking your leo status. #SorryNotSorry. I mean, she’s the flapper IT girl we all want to be – charming, sassy, the life of the party! Never mind that she has the supernatural ability that could help catch a serial killer! As this series unfolds it becomes much larger than one killer, as something dark and evil awakens… But for now, embrace the glitterati of 1926 New York and follow Evie as she falls in and out of speakeasies and right into a dance with a ghostly killer!

You are always on it, my virgos. For while these Young Ladies of Quality may learn the arts of dance, dress, and etiquette, they’ll also be perfecting their skills in dealing death, diversion, and espionage!

Libra, I’m sorry, but I’ve given you quite the conundrum. You see, I know you don’t like conflict and love to see the best in people. Which is partially why I’ve given you A Season of Sinister Dreams in which two magical girls, both hoping to protect their kingdom, find themselves pitted against one another. You’ll struggle as you watch Evra and Annalise, so similar in so many ways, go up against one another in an effort to save their kingdom. But you’ll love this struggle because you’ll fall in love with both our main characters! And I won’t tell you you’ll have to decide who your favorite is because we both know you can’t make decisions to save your life, but I will say you’ll absolutely adore this book!

Scorpio, you are the most determined, ambitious, and loyal of the signs, and frankly you frighten me. You are okay with uncomfortable silences, in fact, you encourage them. The better to keep your enemies on edge. And if you were ever to be betrayed… I pity the soul who did it. You will live for this story of Alka Chelrazi as she infiltrates Blackwater Academy on a mission to bring Wizard society to its knees. At Blackwater Academy, decadent galas end in blood-spattered duels and every student has their own agenda.  And it will end in fire.

Capricorn, you are the mom of the friend group. You’re the one protecting everybody, making sure everybody gets home safe and is well fed. You’re the duty-bound responsible one. I think you’ll find a lot in common with Miriam, elder sister to the baby Aurora of sleeping beauty fame. But this story doesn’t go the route of the original fairytale, because Miriam is there to protect her baby sister from the evil fairies that threaten her. She will discover a power within herself, and vow to be Aurora’s protector. The only question is if her new-found powers will be enough to save everyone she loves, let alone herself.
