J. C. Geiger has eaten the beating heart of a snake, been deported from a full-moon party, and spent a short time locked in a Bolivian prison. He also writes fiction. His short works have appeared in Murky Depths and Horror Garage, and his debut young adult novel, Wildman, was named a Bank Street Best Children’s Book of the Year. His theatrical work has appeared at The Second City in Chicago, and he is a grandslam storytelling champion at The Moth, where he tells true stories which are too strange to make up. J. He is a GrandSLAM Storytelling Champion at The Moth, and his work has appeared on stage at The Second City and No Shame Theatre. His debut novel, Wildman, was named by Bank Street as a Best YA Book of the Year. J.C. lives about sixty miles from the Oregon coast, and makes the trip as often as he can.
