A Fan Playlist for Every Last Word

Are you in need of a sad playlist? Songs to make you cry? A melancholy soundtrack? If that’s your jam, well then DITTO. I adore music that makes you feel all the feels. Now trust me, I also love a good dance mix, a good patio playlist for summer nights, a good scream-in-the-car set of songs, but there’s just something about a playlist that might require a few tissues that gets me every time. If you’ve read EVERY LAST WORD, you know you need tissues. If you haven’t read it yet, then prepare yourself. Either way, I’ve put together a playlist that captures a lot of what I felt reading, and what I think would make a perfect accompaniment to anyone’s reading experience.

These are not all sad songs, I promise! I also promised that despite the poetry in the book, I would not put all 31 songs off The Tortured Poets Department into the playlist and call it a day. We have a bop to kick things off after all, since The Crazy Eights give off serious The Plastics vibes. There are some songs featuring great guitar-playing because, well, IYKYK or you’ll soon find out. There’s some songs mentioned in the book and a little bit of cheesiness because I can’t resist. Plus a few songs that, like the best books, remind us we’re not alone in this wild world. Enjoy!
